About Evira

Built inside clinical obesity care.

Evira came out of the everyday problem of pediatric obesity treatment: appointments are months apart, while the work that decides the outcome happens at home.

Origin

Evira was developed with clinicians working in obesity treatment, in response to a specific gap: care teams could not see how treatment was going between visits, and families had no way to know whether their everyday work was making a difference.

Evidence-based approach

Evira supports combined lifestyle treatment — the treatment already recommended in pediatric obesity care — rather than proposing a new clinical method. Outcomes have been studied in real services and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Healthcare, technology and research

The team combines clinical practice, product engineering and academic collaboration, including work with Karolinska Institutet. That combination is what makes the model workable inside a real pathway rather than in a pilot.

International experience

Evira has been in clinical use since 2018 and is used in 48 treatment centers across six countries, including NHS specialist services in the United Kingdom, six Swedish regions and services in Norway.

What we hold to

A few positions that shape how we work with health systems.

  • The care team leads

Clinical responsibility, assessment and decisions stay with the provider.

  • The pathway comes first

We start by understanding how a service works, before discussing configuration.

  • No overstated claims

We describe evidence by population, setting and follow-up duration, and say where it does not apply.

  • Treatment is not a weight number

Families see progress against an individual goal, not daily weight.

Regional sites

One proposition, local expressions
